Marketing

Marketing= Exposure.

No matter what career you end up choosing, it all leads to the reputation and exposure you create. Whether its to be a fashion designer, sports player, real estate agent, or doctor. You have to form an image. To do that either invest into marketing courses online or go to school and take a marketing minor.  It always comes down to business and narrows down to those who know how to play the rules.

If you dont know how to market yourself and rely on old school methods like word of mouth, you’ll fall behind. Knowing how to stand out and be unique is key to getting past competition and surviving the business world. Even if you have a 9-5 job, having a marketing mindset helps you think outside the box and set higher goals to either brand yourself, the company you work for, or the business you plan to open one day.

In business, the goal of marketing is to get returns & profits.

“People will come to you to learn something of value more than they will to be sold to” Jay Abraham. That is what my approach of marketing is- to provide enough value upfront and watch the money come after all the hard work.

Background: I was previous owner of a self funded internet marketing company who serviced local businesses. I have more than a year of experience in marketing which has taught me all I know about:

  • SEO/back-linking: long-term organic approach used to get websites and landing pages on the first page of search engines.
  • Social Media- fan page creation & lead generation.
  • Email/Text auto-responders- generated from lead capture pages.
  • Product Creation- mainly developing info products for the target consumer and creating a business model around it.
  • Strategic planning/marketing: brainstorming various strategies to promote and get maximum exposure online.
  • Education marketing: creating educational power-points that focus on benefits & influences key decisions using statistics, brand messaging, eye popping images, and engaging headlines.
  • Copy-writing: two versions of it. One for boosting website ranks on search engines & the other to influence the audience to buy. Its a writing process that involves consistent blog, article, press release, social media posting to produce an increase in online sales.

My greatest influences have been:
-Chet Holmes: author of the Ultimate Sales Machine. He’s worked with Warren Buffet’s partner &  fortune 500 companies grow and double their profits.  He runs seminars and teaches business how to maximize their businesses with an educational marketing approach.

-Micheal E Gerber: author of The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It. He is a very successful small business consultant with more than 40 yrs experience helping small businesses grow into world-class operations.

-Tony Robbins: author of one of many books- Awaken the Giant Within : How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Destiny. One of the top 50 business intellectuals in the world according to Accenture’s Institute for Strategic Change. Writes about subjects such as health and energy, overcoming fears, persuasive communication, and enhancing relationships.

-Jim Rohn: motivational speaker, personal development coach, & author helping millions for over 40 years. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers of our time.

-Zig Ziglar: author of Secrets of Closing the Sale.  His career has naturally moved from that of champion seller to master motivator.

-Dan Kennedy: author of The Ultimate Sales Letter: Attract New Customers. Boost your Sales. widely known online marketer & copywriter known for helping dozens of business turn their ideas into fortunes. Specializes in direct-response advertising and direct marketing advice, strategy, copywriting and marketing materials, video production and infomercials, and profit improvement systems.

-Ari Galper: author of Mastering the World of Selling: The Ultimate Training Resource from the Biggest Names in Sales. He has a deep understanding of human communication and applies it to the cold calling and sales process to make it a less dreadful rejection process.

-Frank Kern:  very well known in the internet marketing community among affiliate/info product marketers and product developers. He is known for  developing & launching info products and making huge profits.

All these individuals are business minded. They all have great insights and if you follow them you can learn what the majority wont be able to understand. You’ll be ahead of  the curb. If you don’t know where to start, research people who are already doing what you want to do and follow them. Role model them.

The person I chose to model is Tony Robbins-he’s the one I relate to & connect with the most.

If you do your homework and dedicate at least 30mins in your day to just research these guys and see which one you relate to the most it will have a huge impact in your life.
